All the World's a Stage

The 20'x13' gymnasium stage is now the Master Bedroom.

It boasts tiger eye maple flooring... the original stage flooring from 1964... which was restored in 2019 as part of the renovations.

In the '60's. tiger maple was considered the poor-man's hardwood. Today it is sought after as an exotic alternative to more traditional hardwoods.

It is absolutely beautiful.

Fit for a King

The king size bed with wicker & padded headboard, and matching bedside tables, were handmade in Indonesia.

This photo gives you a sense of how big the master bedroom truly is.

Relax at Bedtime

The custom built-in wall unit by Corell Custom Cabinetry, with touch-open drawers, holds a 55" flat screen above a 78" electric fireplace by Dimplex.

Wall unit with fireplace cost $10,000 in 2019.

Closets? Well, off course!

Double-door closets were added to both sides of the bedroom, each closet measuring 10' long, and both with tiger eye maple flooring.

Together with the built-in dresser/wall unit, they provide more than ample wardrobe space... but wait, there's more to see later!!

Ensuite Laundry

The spacious laundry area is within a wonderful vestibule that connects the main living area to the master bedroom & ensuite.

The vestibule originally was the stage anteroom and a small school kitchen where hotdogs and soup were prepared for the students.

Tons of cupboards, counter space and a large stainless laundry sink are along one wall.

The Coffee Bar

The opposite wall features the Old Volks Coffee Bar with its separate bar sink...close to the kitchen...and close to the bedroom for hot chocolate at bedtime. There are more photos of the Coffee Bar in the Main Loft section.
